I’ve been cutting some nice compound curves in the belly of a few new Dynamos.

The shop was quiet for a bit this summer while I made a quick trip to the middle of nowhere. Now I’m back and the sawdust is flying.

Just finished up a thunderhead grey Stackpole with a big, fat, super comfortable neck and Lollar Vintage Blondes. My greyest guitar yet, pictured here on a rare sunny Portland day.

I ordered a couple M80 Mono Cases to check out, and I am really impressed with their quality and overall coolness. They have very handy pockets, handles, straps and hanging loops. They’re lightweight, tough and most importantly, they really protect the guitar. It was seriously nerve wracking strapping a beautiful M-tone into the case and tossing it around onto a hardwood floor from all angles, but after the test, the guitar was not only completely undamaged, but also still perfectly in tune. I’m sold.
From now on, every M-tone comes standard with a Mono Case. (This is a significant upgrade. If you require a hard case, we can do that instead.) Click for more on Mono.

This beauty sounds just as good as she looks. Translucent satin blond finish, gorgeous Pau Ferro neck, Lollar P90s, lovely new pickguard shape and BOOM!

Here are a few of this summer’s projects. I’ve got a couple of new shapes in the works. Keep an eye on the blond on the left – coming soon with Lollar P-90s and unbelievably beautiful Pau Ferro neck.
I put a few of my sculptures up in the shop to keep me company when I make guitars. Inspiration comes in many forms.
This Palomino Stackpole just rode into town with a cool new pickguard shape. Honduran mahogany + Lollar imperials = enough sustain that you can start the song and walk away while the guitar finishes up for you. Crank the overdrive, dial the tone back to zero and taste the thick, sweet molasses.
